What Everyone Should Know About The Power of Gratitude!

Gratitude is the process of being in the present moment at any time. The gratitude has the power to change your relationships, career, finance, jobs, and bring you more prosperity in life. Gratitude is a multiplier the more grateful you are in life the more you get out of life. I get this question from people many times and even I used to have this question in the back of my mind when I was in the initial stages of my spirituality training. How gratitude can change my life? I asked this question from one of my spiritual teachers and he answered me in the following way. When you are grateful for something you switch your focus from the worries of the future and the regrets of the past, and when your focus switches from the past or future than you are living in the present. He further explained that when you live in the present moment you get the answer to any question you need in your life. Because the answers always come to you in the present moment, not in the past or future everything is in the present moment. By this explanation from my teacher I now know that whenever you are grateful you are living in the present moment because you are being grateful for something right now in the present.
There are some people who might have this question that how can we be grateful if we have nothing to be grateful in life? This is actually a very great question if you look closely in your life than you will find many things you can be grateful for. For example, you can be grateful for your eyes, your ears, the trees, your clothes, etc. So you always have something in your life to be grateful for.
I remember a story of a person who was suffering financially, and he had lots of debt in his life. He was very frustrated and angry in his life because of the financial crisis in his life. He kept blaming the bills, the economy, and his job. This act kept him trapped with those piles of bills and sooner his health start to get bad. He started to go to the hospital for his health issues and finally start to get even more bills from the hospital. One day he was lying on his bed and kept looking at the stacks of bills and then he started to think why he was having these difficulties in his life. He finally decided to change his life for the better. So he started to search for the answer and finally found a teacher whom he thought will be a help for him. At this point, he was totally ready to transform his life and you know the phrase when the student is ready the teacher shall come. He then went to that teacher and started to tell him his entire life story about how his life is upside down and all those financial issues he is suffering from. The teacher told him his entire focus is on the financial issues and he is not satisfied with his life. He explained to him that he needs to stop blaming the circumstances, the people for his financial suffering. The teacher asked the man to start his life with the attitude of gratitude and everything will change in his life. So he started to do what his teacher asked him to do. He started every day by being grateful for everything in his life. He kept practicing gratitude in his life, and then after a couple of months, he started to see the change in his life. He saw his health started to become good, he got a promotion and got a raise in his salary. He then attracted the right women in his life. So this one act of gratitude changed his entire life he went from being pissed off in life to a fulfilled person. This is the power of gratitude.
The Three Magical Steps for Activating the Power of Gratitude in Your Life
Step 1:
 First thing in the morning, or as early in the day as you can, Count Your Blessings. You can write out your list by hand, type it on a computer, or use a special book or journal and keep all of your gratitude in one place. You can write a list of ten things that you are grateful for, and if you don’t have many things to be grateful for then you can be grateful for the same ten things daily.
Step 2: Make sure when you are being grateful for anything add feeling for whatever you are grateful for. The magic of gratitude happens according to the level of your feeling, and to have the sense of feeling write down with each item on your list the reason why you are grateful for that thing. For example, I am so happy and grateful for my eyes because they help me to see the beauty of the world.
Step 3: Once you have written the ten things say THANK YOU in your mind or out loud 5 times for each of the blessings you have written in your list and feel the gratitude for that blessing as much as you possibly can.

The practice of counting your blessings is so simple and so powerful in transforming your life. So activate the force of gratitude in your life now, and change your entire life into positive.
